I left my previous group as they wanted to produce an RNB magazine, as I found the concept of designing and making an INDIE magazine more appealing it, seemed most appropriate to join this group.
Being the last member to join the group, meant that I missed the first lesson in which my colleagues discussed and decided which genre of music magazine we would produce, however this was not a problem, as I was thoroughly informed of the specifications and their ideas prior to our meeting in which I also informed my colleagues of some of my own concepts for the magazine.
One of our group members were absent this lesson, nevertheless this was a minor set back. The initial photographs taken for our music magazines were taken by a couple of my group members, these were of locations which were potential background images for the front cover of our magazine.
Whilst my group members took photographs of the possible locations, I took it upon myself to undertake additional research for the benefit of our magazine.
My research consisted of browsing various genre magazines and taking note of relevant content e.g. colour, font, shape, format, style, layout, images, style, etc. I then fed back the ideas that I later generated from my notes, to my existing group members on their arrival from taking photos.
